Reflecting on the video"Digital Nation" from alternate assignment #1

In reference to multitasking, I find my self  watching TV and at the same time playing  on my iPad. It's like my mind has to always be busy, when I'm cooking I will watch NetFlix on my iPad. I find it hard to put down sometimes. I say that I only watch about one hour of TV a day but, I think I'm on the computer or iPad two or three times longer. I don't find myself a very good multitasker I have a hard enough time focusing on one thing. I seem to tune out when I am trying to multitask.

I think it is very possible to be addicted to digital media. With gaming, people can be addicted with the fantasy of it, it's a form of escape from reality, with some that escape is multiple times per day. In this generation we have to always be in the know, what is going every second of the day. Our form of communication is no longer face to face but now is digital like, texting, facebook and even emails. For me there are some benefits to digital media, for example I have relatives that live out of state, I lake to use facebook to converse with them and show them photos of my daughter so they can catch up on what is going on in our lives. I guess I need to learn how to live with this, It's not going away any time soon.
